Funded Collaborative Research Grants

The Australia India Institute’s national collaborative research programme was launched through advertisement in the national newspaper The Australian in 2010 and through the Institute’s web site. Over 70 full applications were received for assessment by programme directors and advisors. Funding was awarded to 40 projects, with more than $800,000 given to collaborative research projects. 

Many of these projects involve workshops, conferences and field work that will lead to research papers and monographs capturing the outcomes of the collaborative research. Where appropriate, these outcomes will be provided to policymakers to inform relevant policy development.

The projects which were funded in the 2010 funding round were from across the Institute's six priority areas and are listed below.
