The Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF)
The Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF) invites applications for funding for collaborative projects and workshops. The AISRF was established in 2006 and has supported collaborative, leading-edge research between scientists in India and Australia across a range of agreed priority areas.

Grand Challenge Fund Launched
Senator Kim Carr, the Innovation Minister has launched the Grand Challenge Fund which is part of the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund which supports collaborative research projects between India and Australia. Read the media release here.
The Hugh Owen Prize
Each year the South Asian Studies Association (SASA) offers the Hugh Owen prize for the best undergraduate essay in South Asian studies from any discipline. The prize is awarded for an essay of not more than 4,000 words as part of an undergraduate course of study during the academic year of 2010. Read more
