More than half of India’s population is under 25 years old, and nearly two thirds under 35. This ‘youth bulge’ could present considerable opportunities in a globalised economy, given the ageing populations of many other nations. Yet without an institutional environment conducive to development, India may not be able to capitalise on this demographic dividend. Can Australia help?
