Media Release: TiE Women Entrepreneurs Program 2021

Applications open for Australia’s second TiE Women Entrepreneurship Program 2021.

TiE Melbourne and TiE Women Global are pleased to launch the TiE Women Entrepreneurs Program (TwE) for 2021. For women residing in Australia, with a focus on migrant women, the program is delivered in partnership with TiE Women, TiE Sydney, the Australia India Institute and the Australia India Chamber of Commerce.

TwE will assist participants turn an idea into a robust business plan and convert that business plan into an operating business model. The program will comprise of 6 workshops over 6 weeks and one-on-one mentoring with a TiE Member. The workshops will run from April to May 2021, leading up to an Australia Pitch finale to a panel of eminent entrepreneurs and judges.

A representative from the winning team will be invited to pitch at the global TiE Women finale, for a chance to win a US$100,000 cash prize.

TwE inaugural program ran last year in 2020, with the winning team pitching at the TiE Women Global Pitch Finale in early 2021 in Dubai.

Although there are several existing programs supporting women entrepreneurs, this program is unique in its focus on migrant women generally, including those of Indian heritage.

Applications open on 4th March and close on the 25th March.
