We are pleased to have completed the first TiE Women Entrepreneurs Program (TwE) for migrant women of Indian background and residing in the state of Victoria. The Program was being delivered via Zoom, in line with current COVID – 19 lockdown restrictions.

TwE was delivered with a partnership between TiE Melbourne, Australia India Institute and Australia India Chamber. We thank the Victorian State Government for its support via the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Small Business Victoria, Launch Vic, StartUp Victoria and Global Victoria.

The Program was comprised of 5 workshops taking place once a week and facilitated by experienced entrepreneurs. Mentors supported each team to help develop business concepts into robust business plans. The Program culminated in a Pitch Finale in which teams presented their business plans to a panel of eminent entrepreneurs and judges.

The final pitch event saw the winning team, EcoSycle (www.ecosycle.com) – a marketplace for performing musicians and artists, win $1000, a year of mentoring with TiE, and eligibility to participate in a TiE Women Global Finalist Competition, scheduled to take place in Dubai at the end of this year.

The TiE Global Finalist will partake in the ultimate prize of US$100,000 equity-free cash prize.
